Menu Importing

What it does?

Menu importing removes the need for customers to manually create menus by importing their menu from one of their existing delivery channels or from a JSON FILE.

If everything is OK with inserting menu into frontend, the channel images processing is started afterwards. The images are stored in Deliverect infrastructure and become available in Media section so everyone in the account can use them. At the same time the imageUrl field gets updated for the products in the imported menu to include deliverect image URL.

 

For POS Customers

We will attempt to match the POS products with the channel products. But if we can't identify a match then the customer will need to manually link the two. The process is documented Linking products

 

For DMA Customers

We will create products based on the imported menu so there is no need to manually create products

Supported Channels

  • Uber Eats
  • Doordash 
  • Deliveroo - Does not need to be linked yet, just needs the URL in the channel. 

 

How to import a menu from a JSON

1. Copy the json from the menu in Deliverect
2. Save it on your desktop
3. Click to “add new menu” in Deliverect
4. Click “import menu”
5. Choose “from json"
