Once you have imported or created your products on Deliverect you can start adding tags to them.
What are tags?
Tags are small information that may be important to your customer and may not be necessarily mentioned in the product name or description. This is most frequently used for mentioning if a product has allergens, or contains alcohol.
Even though adding the product allergens is not mandatory for Deliverect, it is required in some countries or some channels such as Deliveroo, so we recommend you to do it.
You can add/remove tags both from the Menu or the Products tab. By updating within a menu, you add tags that will only be reflected in that specific Menu. This means if you create another menu from scratch and re-add this same product, you will have to add the tag again. If you add the tags from the Products tab, they will 'stick' to the product, and will be present in any menu they're added to.
From the Menu
Deliverect > Menus > select the menu you want to modify > Manage Menu Items:
Click on the product you wish to tag.
Click on the item. Click on 'Select Tags' to see the dropdown or type the name of the tag in the bar:
You can add as many tags as you want to your product by just clicking on them:
If you wish to delete a tag, you just need to click on the x inside of it.
Once you're done adding tags, click 'Save Edits':
From the Products tab
Deliverect > Products > use the filter to search for the item:
Edit the product:
Click the modify pencil:
Click on the arrow to access Allergen and Tags, as well as the kcal count:
Select your tags and Save.
What if I have tags set in my POS?
If the Deliverect<>POS integration supports syncing in your tags, these will already be in your products.
You can differentiate between POS tags and Deliverect-added tags by the presence of the 'x'. You can remove Deliverect tags. You can not remove POS tags:
Any tags updated in Products will update all your menus where these products are added.
Once you're happy with the changes you've made, publish your menus online to your delivery platforms.
