Once you receive a new order in the Delivery Manager App (DMA), you will have the possibility to adjust the preparation time before accepting it.
This feature is only available when you don't provide the delivery yourself.
Changing the order preparation time will replace the default preparation time that has been set, but will not influence the default delivery time. For example, if your default preparation time is 20 minutes and delivery time is 30 minutes, and you change the preparation time to 60 minutes, the delivery time will remain 30 minutes.
The change in preparation time will be sent to the driver but not the end customer.
Currently, this option is only supported for DoorDash, Flipdish, Takeaway, Uber Eats, and Zomato.
Make sure that you have the Automatically accept orders setting disabled. Otherwise, you will be unable to choose a different preparation time. To check this, open the Settings page in your DMA app and navigate to the Orders tab.
You can only adapt the preparation time, not the delivery time. Delivery drivers can change the delivery time if necessary.
