Modifier Groups and Modifiers allow you to request extra information for your products, as well as upsell other items.
If you do not have a POS system, click here.
If you have a POS system, they may be called 'Options', 'Sequence' or 'Extras'.
Examples: Steak Temperature, Pizza Toppings
Examples: Blue, Rare, Medium, Well Done
Your Modifier Groups and Modifiers will be synced into your Deliverect account with your products from your POS when you perform product sync.
In 'Products' tab , you can edit any item and see which modifier groups are attached. These will be the same groups that are attached to the same item in your POS.
You can use the 'Sort' button to change the order of the Modifier Groups and you can select certain groups to delete them from the original product. Please note, any changes you make here will be overridden when you make new product sync, bringing your Modifier Groups back to their default:
In 'Products', you can also view which modifiers are within these Modifier Groups. Search for the Modifier Group and click the edit icon:
You can select certain modifiers to delete them from the Modifier Group. Please note that when deleting, any changes you make here will be overridden when you make a new product sync, bringing your Modifier Groups/Modifiers back to their default. We recommend deleting this from the POS.
You can use the 'Sort' button to change the order of the modifiers:
You can view your pre-set Min/Max values (from your POS) for your Modifier Groups. If you require one choice (Steak Temperature), you'll need both Min/Max values to be one.
For Modifier Groups such as pizza and burger toppings, your range can vary from 1 to No Limit. The range is set within your POS and can not be amended within your products.
You can swap the order of the Modifier Groups. This affects just this one product:
You can Disable Modifier Groups by selecting 'Disable Modifier Group'. Please note, this disables the Modifier Group for all products (disabling 'Steak Temperature' will affect every steak on your menu that has the Modifier group 'Steak Temperature' attached).
You can Edit Modifiers and their Modifier Groups by selecting 'Edit Modifier Group':
Here you can override the Min/Max values required, change Modifier price, add Modifier-specific allergen tags and add a description. Please note, editing a Modifier will change this modifier across all products it is attached to (changing the price of 'Cheddar Cheese' burger topping for the chicken burger will also change this modifier attached to Veggie Burger and Beef Burger):
Once you make any changes to your menus, make sure you Publish Menus Live to your delivery platforms.
