What is a PLU?
PLU stands for price look-up. This is a unique code used by the different channels (POS, Deliverect Manager Portal, and Delivery channels) to communicate a product or modifier and its corresponding price.
Where to find orders that have failed because of a PLU error
Step 1. Open the Deliverect Manager Portal.
Step 2. Go to Orders.
Step 3. Check for any Failed orders.
Step 4. When clicking on that particular failed order, an overview will be revealed.
Step 5. Inside the red box, an error code will be shown.
Here's an example:
InvalidModifier: Invalid PLU: MSOORTM001 InvalidModifier: Invalid PLU: MSOORTM002
- InvalidModifiers means the PLU of a modifier is not the same on your platforms.
- Check below the red box in the ticket. Next to the product (or where the product or modifiers name normally should be) you will see the designated PLU.
How to prevent future orders failing with Invalid PLU
Step 1. Log in to your Deliverect Manager Portal.
Step 2. Via the left sidebar, go to Product.
Step 3. Enter the name of the product/modifier or the PLU code that is displayed in the error. These products or modifiers have been created in the POS and are not synchronized in the Deliverect Manager Portal with the different channels.
Step 4. Have a look at the specified product/modifier inside your POS, Deliverect Manager Portal (and Takeaway.com if used). Double-check that it has the same PLU on all the different platforms.
Step 5. Go to Locations and Sync Products.
Step 6. Publish your menu live to your delivery channel(s).
