When are orders sent to the POS?
Only after accepting the order on the tablet from the delivery channels (Uber Eats, Deliveroo,...), will the order will be sent to Lightspeed.
So in practice, this means that only when you tap 'accept' on the delivery partner's tablet, or use an auto-accept feature, the orders are sent to Lightspeed to be processed.
How does Lightspeed Restaurant (K Series) handle my online orders?
IMPORTANT: If you want the POS to automatically print orders, you need to be logged in with a user on Lightspeed.
After you have accepted an online order on the delivery partner's tablet, the order is sent to the POS and is printed automatically.
The orders come in without sound on the POS, but since they are printed, you'll see a ticket for every online order.
Possible solutions for the missing sound would be:
- You can buy a kitchen buzzer.
- You can use a different iPad, download the Deliverect app, and use that to play a notification sound.

Synchronizing your iPads
The iPads need to be synchronized with the Lightspeed back office, so they receive the latest information about products, etc...
You can update your iPads in two ways:
Option 1. From the iPad: Click on the orange arrow to synchronize with the back office. If you see this arrow, click on it.
Option 2. From the back office.
It is important that you do this after every change you have made.
